Yoga in the Boardroom at ASOS HQ, Camden
I had a brilliant time delivering my @yogaintheboardroom workshop for corporate wellness to 60 top fashion buyers at ASOS HQ in Camden. I believe it was the first time they had done anything like this at work. I taught them how to use breath to feel powerfully calm, gave them top tips on how to create personal impact through posture and easy ways on how to stretch out to relieve tension caused by being desk bound too long.
It’s not a traditional yoga class, and you can do it in your work clothes, and you don’t have to be a yogi to enjoy it or learn from it. What I do is show people how to hack fantastic bits of yoga to benefit them in their working lives.
So, if you’ve got a big meeting to go to where you have to do a presentation and you are nervous about it, this workshop shows you how to breathe to feel powerfully calm. If you have to meet lots of clients or customers or people you don’t know and what to make a good first impression, I teach you how to hold yourselves to make an immediate physical impact without saying a word.
And we all know we spend way too long on our computers and phones (I’m guilty!) which means our shoulders are always hunched forward and our necks can get stiff so I show you easy exercises to release that tension whilst in the office or even at your desk! Many of the yoga poses you traditionally do on the mat in classes can be adapted for the office or work environment giving you the same benefits.
